The Key to a Successful Godly Marriage

The Key to a Successful Godly Marriage

If you ask anyone what marriage is to them or the purpose of marriage you will get many different answers. So what does marriage mean to us?

The Lord has made it clear to us that agreement in him is key to the success of any marriage and the pathway to fulfilling his unique purpose for that union. We believe marriage is patented from the true agreement between Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In John 14, Jesus explains to his disciples how He, his Father, and the Holy Spirit work in agreement to achieve their purpose.

We believe that God desires marriage to be an experience of two people discovering each other’s destiny in His presence and having fun doing it. It should be a safe place to grow and develop. Where even when you see the worst in each other, you still make the conscious decision to hold no record of wrong in your heart.

If we hold records of wrong this blocks our ability to work together in agreement on God’s purpose. Rather, present the raw evidence to God and let Him work out and sieve through the messy details and marred clay. God can then make something beautiful out of two precious souls.

For some people, getting married has actually become a trophy for their hard work in life, or to be added to their checklist of achievements. The true reason God designed marriage has become increasingly hazy and the very essence of his heart for marriage has become lost in the process.

God has planted his passion in our hearts for marriage and for helping to recover his desires and purpose for it in his believers - which ultimately is to give him glory. God has impressed on us the importance of marriage in his Kingdom and we have seen that whatever happens in the marriage has an impact on all other aspects of our lives.

There’s a lot more we have to share about marriage which is why we created a dedicated space on our website called “All Things Marriage.” We’ll be sharing more content and releasing more products over time dedicated to marriage so be sure to check it out and follow us on social media for more updates.
